The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali Hosts a Wellness Workshop of Feel-Good Experiences

Nusa Dua, December 2012… The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali heralds in the arrival of its new Yoga Instructor and continues its journey of pioneering wellness with the launch of a refreshing skin care concept and an exclusive Wellness Workshop hosted at the Westin Spa. Morning sessions for selected in-house guests and local media representatives were held over two consecutive mornings on 12th & 13th December 2013.

The aim of this initiative was to help participants discover the health-enhancing benefits of personal wellbeing under the guidance of a team of trade experts. The Westin brand endorses a holistic approach towards life for a balanced existence.  

The workshop got off to an early start with an energizing session of Yoga in a calming setting by the beach led by resident instructor, Ms. Komang Yuliastini. The combination of deep breathing and gentle stretching exercises is an ancient Hindu practice to uplift the body, mind and spirit. A wholesome SuperFoodsRX breakfast was then served to introduce an array of natural ingredients that are low in calories but rich in antioxidants and nutrients. Key to the SuperFoodsRX philosophy is ‘food synergy’, whereby certain foods are more nutritionally potent when eaten together. These combinations include spinach and tomatoes, cinnamon and whole grains, honey and yoghurt, all of which are powerfully paired to boost their health benefits.   

Next on the agenda was an insightful session on healthful skin conducted by a beauty specialist from the Skin Nutrition™. This was to help everyone understand the type of professional care that their skin really needs to combat the harsh effects of today’s modern world. A feel-good spa experience for every participant brought this revitalizing journey to a delightful close. A choice of treatments was made available to ensure that guests and invited media colleagues felt well rested for the remainder of the day.
