PREGO STARTS COOKING - An Uplifting Chef Audition For Our Soon To Open Prego Restaurant
Nusa Dua, Bali, May 2013… The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali recently held an uplifting Chef Audition for our soon to open Prego restaurant. This challenging process took place at the main kitchen of The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali before the finalists presented their dishes to the judges.
This audition was attended by the top 3 finalists selected by our Italian Chef de Cuisine, Valerio Pachetti accompanied by the rest of the Culinary leading team at the resort. The finalists were given only the main ingredients of Tuna and Beef, afterwards with their creativity and expertise they had to present a menu composed of their signature dishes to the judges together with a story behind the dish.
The background of this audition was to seek the best talent to deliver in the upcoming Westin’s signature Italian restaurant, Prego. “It is essential to have a Chef who possesses the whole package for this distinct restaurant, from skill to attitude. That’s why we held this event, so we can see if they have what it takes to perform in Prego and at the same time showcasing their passion for food” commented Chef Valerio Pachetti.
Prego is a Westin concept restaurant that puts the fun back into Italian dining. This family-friendly venue will be part of a brand new wing that is currently under construction at the resort and will be opened in August 2013. With its open-plan kitchen, vibrant decor and uplifting ambience, Prego will be the ultimate place to experience authentic Italian cuisine.
