The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali Welcomes The Year of the Water Snake
Nusa Dua, Bali, February 2013… The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali recently celebrated Chinese New Year with an array of uplifting activities for the pleasure of in-house guests. Festivities got off to an early start with an energizing performance of the Chinese Dragon Dance as a symbol of prosperity for the year ahead. Then there was a delectable buffet dinner of Chinese specialty dishes hosted during the evening at Capsicum Cafe accompanied by acoustic guitar music. Traditional red angpao envelopes were also distributed containing generously discounted vouchers to be enjoyed at all Food and Beverage outlets throughout the resort the following day.
“Although Bali is predominantly a Hindu enclave, there is a strong Chinese influence on the island and it is important to honour the cultural significance of this annual holiday. We wanted to recreate some of the renewing festivities commonly associated with Chinese New Year here at the resort. I trust that this auspicious weekend was a relaxing time filled with feel-good experiences for all of our guests,” comments Mr. Bipan Kapur, Managing Director of The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali.
