Associates from The Westin Resort Nusa Dua Bali recently celebrated the launch of its new SPG benefits with a bicycle ride around the Nusa Dua enclave to visit other hotels under the Starwood banner. SPG is Starwood’s loyalty program that involves an array of special benefits for its members to experience in more than 1000 Starwood properties around the world.

All participating associates gathered for the afternoon ride at the resort’s Temple Garden, which was decorated in SPG colours especially for the occasion. A divine blessing by a Balinese Hindu priest was carried out to prepare the riders as they set out on their journey. The bicycle convoy then proceeded to visit sister hotels, The Laguna and St Regis, to share the spirit of the SPG transformation. A ceremonial cake and kites flying overhead marked the finishing point of the ride.

The celebrations continued the following day with an eye-catching makeover of the SPG desk in the main lobby. There was also a refreshing afternoon tea at Kites Bar whereby the management formally introduced the new SPG changes to invited in-house guests.
